QDR was started in July 2015 by founding partner Antonio Iribarren, who decided on this venture, having previously worked for many years for companies in the mining and oil area, as well as in engineering and construction, and also in the consulting sector, being responsible for the technical management and the preparation and resolution of Claims in the positions he held as project manager / contract manager in construction sites. Because of his experience as an engineer specialized in Claims and Dispute Resolution, he has been called by Owners (mandants and contractors), who needed his experience. He has the qualifications, capacity, knowledge, and credibility to correctly analyze the problems and controversies, establish cause-effect relationships, and develop defensible and well funded (persuasive) opinions regarding the responsibility for delays in schedules and cost overruns.
Our focus is to help clients control / mitigate / avoid issues associated with deviations in scope, delays in schedules and cost overruns in their construction contracts for projects and / or operations, performing a detailed analysis and determining who is responsible for each deviation, delays and cost overruns. Generally, the answer is not in one of the parties and the challenge is to assign responsibility, recommend and / or decide.
We are an international, independent and personalized consulting firm that provides Claims and Quantum expert witness for Arbitration services in construction contracts, associated with projects and / or operations, for the mining, energy, oil & gas and infrastructure industry of Latin America.
Our Mission is to collaborate in the resolution of problems that negatively affect the success of construction contracts, in matters such as damage recovery, additional costs and / or deviations from schedules.
Because we have many years of experience in engineering, construction project management, contract administration, project control and commissioning, we have the qualifications, capacity, knowledge, and credibility to accurately analyze problems and controversies, establish relationships cause-effect, and develop defensible opinions, traceable and persuasive, objectively assigning the responsibility for delays in schedules and cost overruns.
Our experience is summarized in analysis and dispute management by:
• Compensation requests / change orders
• Deviation of the schedules
• Loss of productivity
• Defective / insufficient specifications
• Poor performance in contract management
• Start-up delay
• Loss of benefits
• Disruption damage
We are an agile, innovative multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in Claims and Damage Management, having worked together Construction Contracts: we provide an expert analysis as a result of our synergy, to best meet the needs of our Clients, throughout the Contract life cycle.
